I think the product alignment aspect is an interesting one. Like you said, many folks build a portfolio of unrelated assets, but building one that's related probably keeps overhead (physical and mental) lower and allows for better cross promotion.

yes i think keeping the products related will def keep things simpler and scale better.

I also think these are segments where the product is not that differentiated... ie. burger joints arent that different from one another.

Whereas mrbeast is unlikely to create a competitor to an iphone because that is really hard to create such a differentiated product with no domain expertise

Interesting point about the differentiation. Here it seems like the personality is a massive strength compared to other corporste brands.

This could be a really interesting topic to explore even further. The power of creator brands, such as Mr beast and other media celebrities who turned them into businesses.

oh i think its massive.

And i only realized just 'how' massive when i realized how youtubers choose what content to make.

You actually have hundreds of youtubers who make videos about Mrbeast's brands in order to grow their own reputation. You'll find tons of content from other youtubers about his Feastables brand, his burger joint etc

So essentially he has a whole massive network of content creators promoting his shit without spending a dime.
