This is gold!! Seriously. As a mystic, I find incredible usefulness in business approaches to systems thinking. Because I take external systems thinking and apply it internally, using Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts work.

The entire concept in IFS is that you need an inner leader - the Self- to lead your inner team of parts.

The more Self-leadership you have, the better your life goes.

I am in constant communication with my parts almost all day long, and this explains exactly why – because even the tiniest little adjustments I can make to help keep us all focused, make an amazing difference. It’s just so much more efficient.

Really loved this!

As within, so without.

Thank you Melissa! Totally agree with this constant communication making massive difference in what you achieve longer term!

Legit! Sometimes it feels absurd, like why are we talking about the most minute thing in the entire universe?

But then two minutes into the conversation, this unfolds into revealing something very important that actually – because I had the capacity to withstand the apparent idiocy of talking about something so small – I just headed off a much larger problem!

I’ve had this experience hundreds and hundreds of times, so now I have zero opposition to talking about even the most absurd things like, “What should I eat for lunch?”

Even that conversation could end up being generative and changing my life in the long run!

Why would you box smart people as “leaders”. Y’all scorn or what?

Well.. i think ‘smart’ is relative and i dont mean it to strictly mean iq or anything.

Anyone who can lead a team well and achieve results is ‘smart’ in my view
